The older I get, the more difficult it is to achieve a satisfactory fit. I can buy very little RTW and spend most of my clothing budget on sewing.  To speed the fitting process I’ve been working on basic blocks but in different styles. Recently (2015), I enrolled in a Craftsy Course ” One Pattern Many Looks BLOUSES”.  In this course a basic sloper is morphed into multiple styles. I’m terribly excited to have someone (instructor Sarah Holden) holding my hand and guiding me through the process in a logical manner.  I’m so inspired that I’ve created this blog to document and share my accomplishments utilizing basic blocks, hence the the title “Block Party”.  I’m having loads of fun all by myself.  I’m partying in the sewing room.
